Structure
The portfolio you are creating will need to be a representation of you as an EDTEC student; therefore, the format is flexible. You may use CD-ROM, DVD, or Webpage depending on your needs. However, you need to keep in mind that your portfolio should focus on presenting the artifacts you have chosen and reflecting on them based on the EDTEC standards.
In addition, you must use the following structure for your e-portfolio:
- Personal Introduction: Tells why you got into educational technology and your philosophy of education.
- Matrix showing alignment of artifacts with the EDTEC program standards.
- Artifacts and Reflections: A separate page for each artifact developed in a masters degree course (may include EDTEC 540 and 541 and courses from outside the department). Each page includes a visual representation of the project (if appropriate), a reflection statement (written during the course in which the artifact was created) related to the artifact, and a hyperlink to the artifact itself or a sample of the artifact.
- Comprehensive Reflection: Write a comprehensive reflection referring to your entire experience, including your areas of growth and professional goals. This will be posted on an independent page that will include links to artifacts relevant to the discussion.
- Professional Resume: Update your resume and post it in this section for easy access by employers and clients. If you do not have a current resume, there are a variety of examples relating to different fields within the sample portfolio.
The following diagram illustrates the required components of the e-portfolio:
