For more information on distance education, including a series of tips and suggestions, checkout this self-evaluation site. The information in the site came from surveys taken from our past students. Take the self-evaluation assessment to evaluate your potential for distance education.

If you were rated highly on the self-evaluation site, and are still interested in enrolling, we'd like you to enter information into our no-obligation prospective student database. When registration begins, you will be provided with a link to the SDSU's College of Extended Studies which will be able to accept your registration fees online with a valid credit card.

At the beginning of the semester, the instructor will email you directions on how to begin the course. Information about the initial class period, a link to the first module, and information on the required books will be provided. If the database is down, please contact either Elsa Tapia (etapi@mail.sdsu.edu) or Donn Ritchie (dritchie@mail.sdsu.edu).

Cost

All of the courses are offered through the SDSU Special Sessions program. The current cost is $273 per unit credit, or $819 per course. The total cost for the Instructional Technology Certificate is currently $4095, the total cost of the Distance Education Certificate is $4914 and the total cost for the masters degree is currently $9828. However, these are not fixed costs and may change in the future.

Financial aid is available for those interested in the MA program. Please check with the Financial Aid office at SDSU to find out how to proceed.
